Mishon – Screening Party For “A Fool And His Money”

Last week I had the privilege attend the screening party for, “A Fool And His Money” which aired on BET. Hosted by Lincoln Heights actor/ R&B artist Mishon, this was a very relaxing, home felt event that was held to view the screen play directed by David E. Talbert and starred, Michael Beach, Cindy Herron, Eddie Griffin, Ann Nesby, Chyna Layne, Willie Taylor and Mishon Ratliff.

“A Fool And His Money,” is about a family going through hard times in a struggling economy. When the family thought it couldn’t get any worse, the father finds out the factory is closing after 17 years, leaving him unemployed. It looks likes his family is not going to make it until he receives a phone call from a local radio station that asks for him to state, “The Phrase That Pays.”

This play definitely kept me laughing and reminded me of situations I can relate to. But in all, the main thing I took home with me was, “There Is Nothing Like Family.”
