Spotlight #ARTist: Rogue (@TheRogueMC)

Another ARTists information that I was pleased to receive was by a lady that goes by the name Rogue. I have seen her perform in Atlanta before, but never had a chance to get her information until now. So I definitely have to share her information and music with you all so that others can become a fan of Rogue.

Think outside the box… there’s always need for a Rogue, someone who’s not afraid to speak their mind and truly make art an interpretation of life. Rogue is a new breed of artist to come from the southeast region of the U.S. Born in Atlanta and raised in Lithonia, GA this Rogue Emcee got a taste of the city and the suburbs while also experiencing the hardships of growing up in a household with a mostly absent father and a family who she felt didn’t understand her. She would write about anything in her notebook from friends and drugs, to the time she was in state custody and stayed at a Teen Shelter. At age 17 Rogue lost her mom to Breast Cancer and was forced to grow up fast. This gave her a mature and realistic outlook on life and she gradually grew into the fiery tempered, against the grain artist known as “Rogue”. As an eccentric artist with a rebellious nature and musical ear its only right that her music question authority and point out the realities of life, all with a little sarcasm and fun in between. From melodic beats, to producing and songwriting, Rogue does it all. A rebel with a cause, Rogue is guaranteed not to be just another female rapper… she’s an artist. She’s creative and bold… with her there are no gender lines, only music. So think outside the box… you might find there’s a Rogue inside all of us…
