Kelly Rowland, Arsenio Hall Show, Beyonce, interviews

Recently on the Arsenio Hall show, Arsenio had a chance to sit down with singer/songwriter Kelly Rowland with her beautiful brown skin and discuss with her, her music career and the path that she is going compared to her fellow friends and distant relative Beyonce.

During the interview, Arsenio read some of the lines from Kelly’s hit song, “Dirty Laundry” stating:

While my sister was on stage, killing it like a motherfucker
I was enraged, feeling it like a motherfucker
Bird in a cage, you would never know what I was dealing with
Went out separate ways, but I was happy she was killing it
Bittersweet, she was up, I was down
No lie, I feel good for her, but what do I do now?

Asking Kelly what did she mean by those line and what she do to get of those feelings Kelly responded by saying:

I think it’s really important to know that we are not perfect as human beings and it’s really important to know that you have to grow. You can’t just stay in one space your whole life. And you also as a woman can’t expect to be on someone else’s level and don’t allow other people to put you on somebody else’s level and look at what someone else has and think ‘oh, I want that’.

You should want your own path. I don’t want my sister’s path. I don’t want nobody else’s path. I want my own.

But it took me a long time to figure that out…but the rest of the world is telling me something and I’m like ‘hmm…’ I had to figure it out on my own.

and I like my path. I have a damn good path.

Damn right Kelly and stating that information definitely shows Kelly is her own woman. People sometimes needs to understand that what someone else has doesn’t mean it is supposed to be our as well. As long as you’re happy with your life and what you are presenting, you should be happy with where you are going. Checkout the interview on the topic below:
