For the past 5 years, Jamaica Queen’s own Nicki Minaj has been a dominate force that can’t be stopped. From ASSets that keeps all eyes on her, plus versatility to be able to hit the pop scene, dominate, then come back to the Hip Hop side and do the same, Nicki shows that whatever she wants to be, she will conquer. Now with her album The Pinkprint on the way, Nicki Minaj sits down with GQ Magazine to give an in-depth interview about her rising, her “Anaconda” video and more. This was all after she had fell asleep on the couch with the interview. LOL!

In the interview, Nicki Minaj discusses the symbolism of the Anaconda video has she states:

“It’s just cheeky, like a funny story. I’m chopping up the banana. Did you realize that? At first I’m being sexual with the banana, and then it’s like, ‘Ha-ha, no.”

“That was important for us to show in the kitchen scene, because it’s always about the female taking back the power. If you want to be flirty and funny that’s fine, but always keeping the power and the control in everything.”

Also before the “Super Bass” artist became well-known she talks about how she knew she wasn’t supposed to be in customer service, but was also a pro at keeping people on their toes. Before coming the star she is today, she was a waitress at Red Lobster and ended up getting fired after she chased a couple out the restaurant for stealing her pen and gave them the middle finger. read more at GQ
