On June 27th, Hosea Feed The Hungry held a media brunch to officially announce their rebranding as Hosea Helps. Making sure that everyone was taken care of, they provided attendee’s with brunch that included shrimp and grits, waffles, fruit, mimosa, homemade peachcobbler, chicken and more as they elegantly announce the rebranding of their non-profit organization.
With over 30 years of helping the homeless, individuals and families in the Atlanta, started by civil rights activist Rev. Hosea and Juanita T. Williams, Hosea feed the Hungry feels it is time to let everyone know that their organization does not only help people on traditional holidays, but also helps people in need 365 days out of the year. Feeding over 50,000 per year, Hosea Helps also have distributed more than $3.0 billion in food, clothing, medical, educational, toiletries, furniture and cleaning supplies to 16 Georgia counties, three states and to the Philippines, the Ivory Coast and Uganda.
But more now, they have seen that many people need more than just food as some individuals need encouragement, financial stability and more and now pushes to let more know that they provide year-round life programs and financial assistance, food boxes, benefit assistance, job counseling and life skills training to help to get on their feet and live a better and less stressed life.
Now driven by Hosea Williams’ daughter Elisabeth Omilami and husband Afemo Omilami with a team that consist of Birgit Burton, Kimberly Poma, Cannon Kent, Condace Pressley, Reggie Rouse, Amy Smith, Keshia Walker and more, they set to take Hosea Helps to even greater levels as many have seen their are many who are still in need in Atlanta and in the world.
