20 years after the tragic death of Mexican American singer/songwriter/actress, Selena Quintanilla-Perez, she still influences many people and cultures today. Now MAC Cosmetics looks to take it even further as they announced Thursday that they plan to release a collection inspired by the Queen of Tejano music and the top Latin artist of the ’90s.
To stay true to Selena’s legacy, Mac partners with her older sister, Suzette, to help create the collection. Right now, it is not known what the collection will consist of, but you know this will have to be amazing for women of different ethnicities.
MAC Senior Vice President James Gager had the following to say:
“Selena’s talent and beauty, inside and out, have left a colorful, meaningful impact in the world that has continued to grow over the last two decades. We have heard the passion and enthusiasm from her fans and wholeheartedly agree that her legacy embodies MAC’s philosophy.”
