On August 11, Season 6 of ATL Live on the Park returned to Piedmont Park for their fourth annual ‘All White Affair’ party edition. This month’s showcase included performances from up-and-coming artists Katy Shotter, Bonita Jalane and Natasha Mosley, as well as a surprise performance by 90’s R&B group, Soul For Real. Taiye ‘The Wild Afrikan’ Samuel returned to host the event sponsored by Gentleman Jack and MAJIC 107.5. Guests also enjoyed sounds by DJ Mars and a performance by the event house band Quinn and the Jukebox.
The night kicked-off with a magnetic performance from London-based soul and R&B/pop singer, Katy Shotter. The mesmerising singer kept the audience locked-in with special renditions of crowd favorites including Jill Scott’s “He Loves Me” and Whitney Houston’s classic hit, “How Will I Know” as a tribute to Houston and her late daughter, Bobbi Christina Brown. Brooklyn-based artist, Bonita Jalane took the stage next and kept the crowd engaged with a soulful performance and powerful R&B vocals. Next, up-and-coming songstress, Natasha Mosley delivered an electric performance showcasing both classic covers and original songs from her debut solo album, “Rose Hall.” Keisha Jackson, daughter of entertainment legend Millie Jackson, also rocked the stage for a quick performance of Rufus and Chaka Khan’s “Tell Me Something Good” with event house band Quinn and the Jukebox. Finally, just when event-goers thought the night was over, 90’s R&B group Soul For Real hit the stage with a surprise performance. The group performed their number one chart-topper, “Candy Rain.”
