The artist known as Prince has died, after multiple updates and unbelievable reports, it is now known that the 57-year-old music icon has passed away at his home estate in Minnesota early Thursday morning.

prince dead at 57First being reported that police were investigative his home after a death was reported at his estate in Carver County, Minnesota, they have confirmed that it was Prince himself.

Previously, Prince Rogers Nelson, private jet had to make an emergency landing in Illinois on April 15th after performing in Atlanta for a cancelled show the week before. Afterwards he appeared for another concert to show his fans he was okay and was stated that he was battling the flu.

Prince rocked everyone’s world as he came an international superstar with the release of his album, 1999, released in 1982. From then, Prince released hit after hit with songs such as “Little Red Corvette”, “1999”, “Purple Rain” and more, racking up 7 Grammys.

Selling more than 100 million records during his career, the legend has won the Academy Award for Best Original Song Score for the movie Purple Rain in 1985, was inducted into the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame in 2004, plus gave the greatest live performance of a lifetime as he performed at the 2007 Super Bowl.

PrincePrince is truly one music icon many expected to live on forever and honestly to hear of his passing seems like a nightmare. Out of many performers we have today, we would have figured he would be one that would live to perform well in his 70’s and would be having 40-50 year anniversary of his 1999 album with special surprise concerts.

When it came to music in my household or any family event, there wasn’t a time that prince would not be played when I was young growing up. Even when I was a child my father told me the first time him and my mom saw Prince perform, he was opening up for Rick James. Many people at first looked at small guy come on the stage and within minutes had everyone wanting on their feet dancing with him and remembering his name. Prince was creativity at it’s best and wasn’t afraid to be what God made him to be.

My heart goes out to his family and close friends and fans (as myself) who truly came to love Prince for what brought to this world.

Rest In Peace, Prince, but afterward throw the biggest party heaven has seen!

Prince: June 7, 1958 – April 21, 2016
