For the May edition of ATL Live on the Park, Shanti Das and Marlon Nichols partnered with the City of Atlanta Office of Cultural Affairs to partake in the Atlanta Jazz Festival’s ’40 Days of Jazz’. Co-hosted by 102.9’s Ed Lover and Maria More of MAJIC 107.5, over 425 guests were introduced to new music by Epic Record’s Swift, sultry soul singer Maleke O’Ney, British phenom Katy Shotter and Que Parker’s (112) new inspirational group, Will & Alexis. Sponsored by Gentleman Jack, MAJIC 107.5 and Choose ATL, guests also enjoyed sounds by DJ E-Clazz and a performance by our event house band Quinn and Jukebox.

Each artist brought a different sound to the show last night. Maleke O’ney opened her soulful performance with a cover from S.O.S Band, “Just Be Good to Me”. She also performed two original’s, “Looking for Gold” and “Blackliness”. Swift, whose current single “Pull Up” is currently playing on radio stations across the country, introduced two new singles last night “Make Me” and “Make it Last”. Friend and past performer, Katy Shotter made a surprised appearance and performed a cover by Alicia Keys “Fallin” and “Juicy” by the Notorious B.I.G. Shortly after, Que Parker, one-fourth of the band 112, introduced his new inspirational group, Will & Alexis. Que shared why he selected this duo to be the first release under his new label NeWFAM Entertainment and the concept behind the group. Will & Alexis performed three inspirational songs showcasing why they are loosely compared the storied Bebe and Cece Winans. Que Parker closed the show by performing 112’s hit single “Cupid”.

Special guests in attendance included Que Parker (1/4 of 112), Tyrin Turner (Menace II Society), Chubbie Baby (VP of A&R) and Camille Love (Executive Director, City of Atlanta Cultural Affairs).
